Earlier this week Amazon started the mass layoff process of its employees. The reason for this was macroeconomic conditions. The company yet has not given a clear number as to how many employees will be laid off but CEO Andy Jassy said that the layoff will continue till 2023.
"Our annual planning process extends into the new year, which means there will be more role reductions as Leaders continue to make adjustments. Those decisions will be shared with impacted employees and organisations early in 2023," said Jassy.
