Indermit Gill: the 2nd Indian to become a World Bank chief economist

The World Bank has recently appointed Indermit Gill as their chief economist and also a senior vice president for their development economics. Now with this position, Gill has become the second Indian, after Kaushik Basu, to become a chief economist for the international financial institution which grants loans to every middle and lower-income country.
