Justice Uday Umesh Lalit's name was recommended by Chief Justice N V Ramana for the post of CJI to the union Government. Chief Justice Ramana will retire on August 26. He forwarded the letter regarding the same to Kiren Rijiju on Thursday and also send a copy of the same letter to Chief Justice Lalit.
