According to reports, billionaire Gautam Adani has been planning a surprise entry in the race for acquiring the telecom spectrum that will be pitched directly against Mukesh Ambani and Sunil Bharti Mittal. Applications for participating in July 26 auctions had been closed. The fourth applicant is Adani Group which had recently obtained National Long Distance (NLD) and International Long Distance (ILD) licenses.
